- What is the number 1 platform generating ROI for your B2B business?
We were really astonished at the number 1 platform generating ROI for your B2B business. According to Kantar and Google's latest data from the US and around the world, it's YouTube (link at the end). Because... where do customers 65% of B2B buyers look when they want to research something? To put it on their shortlist? Or consider buying it? E.g. If I'm searching for a CRM or BI solution, I might ask AI to give a superficial answer but YouTube when I'm serious and want more detail. And it's the only real choice because Linkedin has limited search functionality and Insta and Tiktok aren't serious contenders for indepth research. And with Google, page 1 is a list of whoever's put the most amount of money into getting there. And it's not about flashy videos. AI. Explosions. Because real buyers want real information, not crazy stunts. I mean, if you were buying a CRM or BI solution, what would you want? Explosions or really understanding how a solution could help you? In fact, Google's research demonstrates that before engaging with a salesperson, 70% of prospects watch 30 minutes of video. And where are they most likely to watch that 30 minutes of video? It's not Tiktok or Linkedin. Realistically, the only platform offering that kind of time is YouTube. It helps you get your solution on shortlists so salespeople can pitch. Help you generate higher quality leads so salespeople stop complaining about mar... I mean, have much better quality conversations with prospects. And videos to help them take the right decision throughout the funnel. Real videos with real customers. Real people helping you position yourselves as thought leaders. Building real brand equity. - Video for lawyers... is it hard?
It wasn't so long ago that the only marketing lawyers were able to put in place was a brass plaque. So it's unsurprising awyers are a little nervous when it comes to anything marketing or video. However, video has been embraced by the top 250 firms and even the magic circle use video extensively as can be seen by their websites. Because when a GC, small business owner or private individual visit a website, it is hard to them to understand if the lawyers have the expertise they need. Walls of text on websites make it tricky to understand. However, a video gives everything website visitors need to take a decision. Because while word-of-mouth is great, it is even greater to generate more customers through websites and showing how strong your work is. But is it difficult to create? Is it easy to use? If you click on the short, easy-to-digest video below, we discuss.
- How do you win marketing awards and create awesome campaign videos?
So we created a video for one of our customers, KP Snacks and an agency, "Another Word." It was selected for "B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year" and won the low budget category outright. It was then selected for "Best B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year" and finished in the top 5. Bear in mind those other campaigns were using video which cost 20 times as much! Firstly, we have to start with the one big thing... the 'big idea.' Nothing more, nothing less. Now, to get to that idea... well, that's brainstorming, trying ideas which don't work, experimenting and finally iterating to the point the video got to the place we needed it. And then creativity. What that means is to get a team together and then fire ideas around until a couple of them stick. One of my ideas was Indian retailers dancing troupe in a supermarket dressed as 1930s burlesque dancers. Genuinely not one of my best... But eventually we got to a place. And that's iteration. Followed by as much distribution to a perfectly targeted audience. And it's that simple. Sure, it's about being bold. The big idea. Iteration. And creativity.
