How to turn email tracking back on

Apple made headlines by activating privacy settings that prevent email marketers from tracking emails. Open rates, click through rates and much more are now private and MicroSoft as well as Google are doing the same.


However, using video as part of email marketing campaigns mean we can effectively turn some of that tracking back on. Because video platforms tell us how many times a video has been watched, how long for, when viewers stop watching so we can see what parts of our content engage and what doesn't.


It's not a total solution but putting video into email marketing campaigns gives us a lot more data and understanding. And gives us accurate data to help us both assess the quality of our campaigns as well as reporting data so we can communicate this to others in our business.
